October 26, 2010 - Almost clear rim around a dark brick eye. Very slight acetic smell that rapidly faded on airing. Heavy sediment. Dark cherry/berry flavors. A bit one dimensional, but well worth drinking. Certainly at the end of its life. Drink now.

January 11, 2009 - Mökra bär, cederträ, fylligt, trevlig garvsyra, kryddigt. Serverade till helstekt, plommonspäckad fläskstek med karl-johanssvamp och portvinssås och pressad potatis. Fantastisk kombination!

June 9, 2007 - Very good, it was dark purple with distinct amber on the rim indicating it was near the end of it's life perhaps, it had medium concentration, complex, fruit and oak on the nose, smooth on the palate with a medium/long finish - Great value (89 Points).

September 16, 2005 - Always a solid value choice, this went well with the mushroom pizza we were having with friends. Bin2 seems to have more earth tones than other Penfolds Shiraz and this was no exception, must have had more Mourvedre. Holding up well, no bricking around the edges yet and no signs of being close to the end.

August 26, 2005 - Not a formal TN, but enjoyed this one very much in a restaurant this afternoon. Lots of fruit, lively acidity, great by the glass with an Italian meat stew.
