September 20, 2016 - This bottle could go until 2025. Decanted for an hour and improved with time in the glass. Deep dark cherry and blackberry fruit, pepper, graphite, faint char and a little cedar that comes with age. Good balance and length. Softened enough to be versatile with food too. It's good to know these age so well. I recently had a 2000 (a notoriously poor vintage in Napa) and while far more mature than this 2001 it was holding up surprisingly well.

July 10, 2016 - Should have decanted this. With air it opened up and was wonderful. Big but balanced.

December 8, 2015 - Delicious Syrah. Still huge. I can't imagine what this was like 10 years ago. Still 3 years of life left in my bottle. Wish I had more...I'll be searching.

June 6, 2015 - Spectacular. Petite Sirah dominates. Still a BABY but if you have any break it out now for a treat. Delicious big blue stone fruit. Mom's blueberry pie.
