December 3, 2019 - Red fruited nose with mushrooms, soil and cedar overtones. Lean but assertive on the dry palate, tannin is silky smooth. Acid is medium plus, and the fruit is still vibrant. The finish is half a minute long. Who says pinot can't pair with steak!? Try twenty year old Burgundy.
What a different wine from the Pousse D'Or bottling I had two years ago. Although it was the same appellation and same vintage, this is so much more open and fleshy.
