September 9, 2021 - Decanted one hour before dinner. A light / medium-weight red with structure, featuring rose, bitter cherry and beetroot, but it does need food; it isn't a cocktail wine. It appeals to my head more than my heart. Unfortunately, I liked it much more than my guests. It lacks the complexity I look for in a wine, so I probably won't buy it again at this price point.
May 27, 2021 - Very good and drinking well now.
June 14, 2020 - really enjoyed this simple but unique wine, 2016 drinking very well now, and better than 2017 or 2018 in my opinion. Notes of spices, white pepper dominate the nose, the palate is softening out and all very balanced.
May 15, 2020 - Comme jorivesud, sur le déclin vis à vis les bouteilles bues antérieurement. Nez discret de cerise avec un léger côté animal. En bouche c'est frais et léger. Peu de fruits, un peu d'épices. A boire sans tarder.
May 10, 2020 - Rubis clair et brillant.
Nez sur les petits fruits rouges, épices (muscades, poivre blanc).
En bouche, fruits peu présent, très différent du nez, astringence en mi et fin bouche. Beau nez, mais la bouche est dépassé...dommage.
Grandement améliorer avec les temps, pour être très agréable, mais je ne crois pas que cela puisse vieillir encore.
April 24, 2020 - Un vin très poivré avec des notes de fraises et de crème. Agréable, mais un peu simple. Intéressant tout de même.
May 19, 2019 - A nose of roses, spice and tobacco. On the palate, the acidity is wonderful and provides a great backdrop for the spice-driven palate. Relatively good length on the finish.
May 1, 2019 - Very nice Italian red made from the rare pelaverga grape which is native to Piedmont. In the glass this is a little darker than nebbiolo and a tad lighter than sangiovese. The nose is a bit earthy and has a touch of must. Spicy ripe strawberry, rhubarb, a hint of leather, decent acidity and a fairly long finish.
April 26, 2019 - Smokey,tobacco nose like a cigar. Smooth velvet red fruits
December 29, 2018 - A good bottle but short of the more recent '17 that I tasted. Showing a bit of heat on the finish here and the fruit has fallen away.
