March 14, 2022 - A terrific, raw Syrah. Decanted 30 minutes, and it just got better through two hours! Stolpman uses NO new oak, mostly neutral, so what you're getting is the purity of the Syrah grape, and much of their vineyards has Northern Rhone DNA. Lots of grilled meat, herbs and pepper on the spicy nose. Elegant but deep spicy blackberry fruit on the palate with notes of soy, rosemary and game. Excellent moderate finish with good acid and pleasing tannins. Great food wine! If you're going to drink without food I'd decant for one+ hour.

July 3, 2021 - All fruit, somewhat jammy, and not much else. Needs more balance to get a score in the 90’s.
