August 4, 2023 - This is a fun fun wine to drink. Great youthful color. Very 2002 in style, with spicy red fruit and a small amount of sous-bois. Good tension on the palate and a long finish. In a great place.

July 20, 2023 - Vosne 1er vs GC: Perfectly mature dark fruits. Has eerie similarities to the 02 LT, but like a little brother - not the same level of depth. Really enjoyable, however.

June 5, 2021 - 2nd of case of 6, after the first disappointing bottle I m so relieved that it was perfect! The wine was alive and beautiful as I remembered it. With a nose of violets, rose petal and a hint of lavender. Beautifully balanced on the palate. Just so delicate and feminine. Worthy of being called a baby la tache!!!

February 4, 2021 - Perhaps I didn’t give it enough air or perhaps it was a little too early after shipment but certainly not as well integrated as the last bottle. Wait for a few more months before trying the next bottle.

(Potel Nicolas Vosne-Romanée Les Gaudichots) Deeper ruby-red colour vs the 02 DRC 1er. The nose is sweeter with a hint of oak and cedar and perhaps just a trace of volatility. Beautiful texture, opens out over the palate very well. This wine in isolation a rather good, next to the DRC it's lacking focus and precision. There is more density and intesity but not quite the length of the DRC. Today this comes a distant second, it will be interesting to make the test again in another ten years or so.
