March 1, 2024 - (Blind verkostet) Mittleres Rubinrot, noch jugendlich. Dezente Beerenfrucht, Walderdbeere, dazu Tee, Leder, erdige Noten. Im Gaumen gradlinig, trocken, lebhaft, balanciert, keinerlei C02, wunderbar balanciert. Das macht Spass, zeigt Trinkfluss, eine gute Länge und ein rotfruchtiges Finish. Einer der schönsten Freisa, die ich bisher verkosten durfte. Jetzt bis 2030
October 23, 2022 - PnP. Dark berry red, 5.5. Intense fruity aroma, cherry, blackberry, some spicy stuff. Rather rustic palate, mT, h-A, mB, intense fruit, tart acidity, fruity finish leaving a fresh sensation. Drink now-onwards. Fine everyday wine - especially with charcuterie.
July 27, 2022 - What a fantastic surprise. At almost age 6, the 2016 is a sublime, radiant and fairly refined version of Freisa. The structure, tannins, nerves and power are in balance and go wonderfully hand in hand with the aromas of tart berries, forest floor, underbrush, dusty roses and hints of old leather. Loved it.
December 4, 2021 - Popped and poured. Dark ruby color. A little tight on first opening but after about an hour or so it showed some beautiful bright red cherry and almost amarena cherry flavors. Hint of dried salumi coming through as well with some floral notes. Really nice. Similar flavors on the palate with a mix of juicy red fruit and meat with medium+ acid and tannins. Drank better with food than on its own but certainly enjoyable now with some air.
November 7, 2021 - Another great bottle of this wine. Medium body, good acidity, cassis, blackberry, herbs and menthol. I feel like this has tightened up since last go, with former tannins and in need of longer decanting. I don’t have much experience with Freisa but I think this can age longer based on the current profile.

April 12, 2020 - Very aromatic, not dense but airy, red and blue fruits, italian herbs and curry leaves. Savoury entry, lovely freshness, good underlying minerality. Again this is not a very dense wine, maybe light - Med bodied, with very fine grained Tannin. Very juicy and lingering. Nice juice.
March 17, 2020 - Kirsch cherry and dried herbs aromatics; medium-bodied, elegant entry, a deceiving crescendo of fine, svelte yet sturdy tannins, balancing acidity with good length. Always a pleasure to drink the other varieties from this great producer.
