September 13, 2013 - I really liked this wine! Purchased 6 bottles 11 years ago from Trader Joe's for $13 ea. and this is the first one tasted since then.

Color: Deep ruby garnet with no browning. Very pretty
Nose: Better the second night. Very intriguing olive, cherry, currant and vanilla scented bouquet. A touch of leather too. Very nice!
Palate: Nice acid and fruit balance. Tannins completely resolved but doesn't seem at all on the decline. Flavors match the nose - mature black fruits, with an herbal undertone. Great QPR! Glad I have a few more bottles. Doubt this will get any better but very nice now and for the next few years.

November 3, 2007 - This bottle wasn't as good as the last. Good, but definitely going beyond prime.

November 25, 2006 - Had this at Thanksgiving. Granted, a busy night for the palate sans the white turkey meat. This bottle was begging to be opened. Had too much of the earthy finish for a medium bodied. It had mixed reviews however, I found it to have more complexity than expected. Decanted for four hours and the finish really defined itself. However, the plain berry flavor accompanied by a one dimensional nose kept this from scoring over a 90.
