November 16, 2022 - Rather dark in color for a Pinot—ruby red. Light nose with a bit of a musty smell. But not in a bad way, very earthy. Wonderful body, with very slow and beautiful legs. Powerful and complex on the palate, with dark fruit on the front and a tart black cherry with some earthiness and soft tannins. The wine will be good for at least another three years. No hurry big hurry to drink. The only reason this isn’t a 90+ wine is it is still a bit unbalanced. Maybe this will be resolved with a couple more years in the wine dungeon.

September 4, 2022 - Very nice. Deep red and black fruit nose, medium deep garnet color. Balanced acidity smooth tannins. Moderatedly deep strawberries and wood on the palate. Wish I had another bottle.

December 25, 2021 - It’s fine but I don’t love the style. It’s a little too tart for my tastes.

September 13, 2021 - This is a nice Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara.

Showing black fruits with tobacco, earth, wood, vanilla, chocolates, barnyard, smoke, spices, coffee and mocha.

    Full bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and very fruity.

    Tangy finish with soft tannins.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show the complexity.

Drinks more like a Syrah blend from California. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. After 3 hours in the decanter, it really feels like a Syrah.

This 5 year old is peaking now.

Aged in French oak barrels for 9 months.

    14.7% alcohol by volume.

    91 points.

    $50.

August 12, 2021 - Paired with Sauteed Halibut and was really delicious! It had a very short decant... we pretty much drank it right away! We used the Pinot Noir Reidel performance glasses. I do think using the proper glass makes a difference in taste. I would definitely buy this wine again.
