July 11, 2016 - Some of these continue to show way too advanced. This was one of those.

March 9, 2016 - Tasted at a larger walk-around event. First bottle drinkable but overly discoloured and slightly oxidised on nose and palate. Second bottle badly oxidised. Third bottle: very bright and clean fruit on the nose, white stone fruit, a bit of gooseberry, white flowers, minerality. On the palate slightly spicy, mineral, ripe fruit, great acidity, lots of depth and complexity, very long and lingering. Perfectly balanced. Wonderful. 95-97

January 18, 2016 - From 375ml. I'm going to continue drinking these half bottles. Early maybe, but they're a fine drink, and in the era of premox I'll be satisfied with them young.

January 9, 2016 - This bottle probably did not have enough aeration. Nose had coconut oil, tropical fruit, honeysuckle and minerals. The palate had a mouthful of chalky fruit with balanced sweetness. If the bottle was given more time, the nut fruit could have emerged like the previous bottle. Give this at least 5 years before you open yours. 92+ today.

(Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne) Very pale. Well-integrated oak notes and plenty of depth on the clean nose. Soft, concentrated and with lovely depth. There are no fireworks but tons of restrained interest. Worth the price of entry…
