    March 28, 2024 - Pre Good-Friday catch-up.

Wow, this was in pristine condition... some more from a 375ml half-btl. Singing right out of the gates, with a potpourri of white-florals, cream, pop-corn, chalk. Tasted so youthful, with a creamy texture of lemons, honeysuckle. Darn delicious!

January 28, 2023 - Stressed when I opened this bottle, but lucky I was as the cork and the wine were in perfect conditions, no sign of premox. Lighter yellow than I expected for a 2005, the wine was still singing and in fantastic shape. Thankfully this held perfectly well post 10yo target (when most of its peers failed) and kept going to the 20yo target. Creamy, med bodied, lemony, perfect acidity and long, this was a pleasure to drink. We gave this 30 mins of air in decanter

October 15, 2022 - Second bottle after the first was oxidised, and this bottle was singing, and absolutely superb. Possessing an engaging nose of lemon and citrus, the palate and finish have stoney notes with excellent balance and minerality. With the right bottle this is great value for money, but it does seem to be a little hit and miss as it ages.

July 13, 2022 - Thick lots of body. Starting to oxidize and lose freshness and acid. The fruit is starting to taste more ripe.

February 6, 2022 - A Burgundy Paulée with the Chevaliers du Tastevin (Hooked Market & Kitchen, Latham, NY): Magnum. Pop and pour. Gorgeous nose of minerals with hints of new oak and lemon zest. Medium body, crisp and complex. Long finish. Lots of people put this in their top 5 for the evening.

May 19, 2021 - Return to La Trompette (La Trompette, Chiswick): Pale/medium straw. Nose is creamy, touch of spice, fumey. Medium bodied, lemony, some creamy breadth, vibrant acidity, long finish. Showing some minerality with the food.

November 15, 2020 - Very nice nose of lemon, honey and marzipan. Unfortunately the fruit has faded on the palate and the oak is center stage. This is now a shell of what it once was.
