October 29, 2023 - After being blown away by the 2002 Clio a few weeks ago I thought I’d try this one. It’s still a good wine but much fruitier and not as structured as the 02. A bit of stewed fruit at this point so I’d say drink up.

February 24, 2023 - Much better than its big brother El Nido (2008) I had a couple of weeks ago. Deep ruby; coffee, dark chocolate, cherry, plum, stewed black fruit, toast, leather, kirsch, black currant, velvety. Medium acidity, medium resolved tannins, medium+ flavor intensity, very long finish. Probably 1-2 years beyond its peak, but very good. Big, deep & long

December 27, 2022 - Close to perfect! Dark fruits, cedar, tobacco, dark spice... classic iron fist in a velvet glove wine.

December 15, 2022 - Brick brown on the edges. Tea, minor funk, grilled herbs on the nose. Still plenty of fruit, grilled meat and herbs, prune, bacon and black cherries.

    June 1, 2022 - Glad I waited for its 18th birthday.
Ripe purple fruit, licorice, tar and flowers.
Just a shocker, in a good way...one bottle left!
