July 17, 2023 - Bramble and prune nose. Medium to full bodied, dirty cranberries, loads of pepper, black cherries, grainy tannins, smoke, and a medium finish.
    Always consistent, always good.

June 24, 2021 - Picked up at a going out of business sale for $14 and it over delivered. Best on the second day as it seemed to need some air to settle down. Nice balance of fruit and spice with lots of clove and nutmeg. Enjoyable.

February 28, 2021 - Standard fare zin, with a hint of complexity and your otherwise normal attributes of dark fruit, spice and oak.

January 31, 2021 - The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle.
It smells like cranberry, black currant (cassis), vanilla, light toast, strawberry and cinnamon. It tastes like strawberry jam, raisin, black currant (cassis), strawberry, light toast, hazelnut, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, black pepper and chocolate. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

January 23, 2021 - Purchased for $18. Inky black in color. I wouldn't have pegged this as a zin. Doesn't have any of that briary fruit I would expect. Instead, massive dark black fruit, sweet, unctuous. Lots of influence from the oak, vanilla, sweet cream, and a hint of spice. But that dark, black fruit really compliments the oak. More generic, than zin. More cab or blend than zin. But it certainly is delicious. Grade: A-

October 20, 2020 - Rich ripe forward fruit, ting of acid balance, green vine and stem, alcohol, tannic aftertaste. Last impressions of raw leafy vine. Not a typical Zin flaw. The grapes were ripe, why pollute them with stems?
