March 13, 2010 - Recalling from memory last week. Fairly oaky, buttery wine, with spicy flavors, that unlike many of the CA breed, really works. Sweet fruit stands up to the oak, so this is not just another typical overoaked CA chardonnay.

January 23, 2009 - Buttery with a definite chalkiness in the nose...the name definitely fits. Nose is consistent with the palate but perhaps with an added touch of garlic??? Wonderful creaminess. Very nice!

April 14, 2008 - Very acidic and harsh.

April 13, 2008 - Light yellow color, moderate nose of fruit. There is good acidity, and nice fruit showing of apple and pear. Lots of butter on the tongue and the finish with a large dose of mineral chalk.

August 20, 2007 - nose- tart apples, butter, slighty oaky

taste- BUTTER BUTTER BUTTER, slight bite on the back of the tounge, ends fruity (green apples)

finish- quick finish but full of fruit
