April 16, 2024 - I like blends.......and, this is a good one. The bottle was open for 1+ hours before dinner.

December 20, 2021 - I had my first bottle of this wine a little over a year ago. I liked it, but commented that I thought it would improve with time. That has proved to be the case. My numerical rating may be conservative. This bottle was opened for most of 2 hours before consumption.

October 11, 2021 - Nicely balanced, integrated. Solid fruit, not jammy, tasty American red blend.

January 7, 2021 - Very deep dark center, purple rim with no signs of age.
Sweet, blackberries, creamy, dark fruit compote, all about the fruit.
Dense, blackberries, nuts, ashy wood, creamy, some iron, good acidity, tannins fairly smooth, alcohol is prominent, good length.
Very well made wine, however the level of alcohol (14.7%) detracts for me - and I think it might be higher than that. Good now, but might be better in a year or two.

December 5, 2020 - This is a very interesting blend. I like blends, and I like deep/dark decadent styled wines. So, this is right up my alley. I left the bottle open for 1-2 hours before consuming and believe it benefited from that strategy. I also sense, but cannot articulate why, that the wine will benefit from a little age. I am not going to rush to consume it.

November 19, 2020 - One of the best wines we have had so far in 2020 (holiday wines await even if just the two of us).
Who would have thought of combining Calistoga Petit Sirah and Atlas Peak Zin? Well it worked. Rather than posit my own notes, I am copying and pasting notes from a previous review which can not be improved upon:"Big spicey yet smooth and balanced blend. Peppery, blackberry, oaky, leather notes."
It took all afternoon of breathing and a decanting to get it to that point, so it might be better further on in 2021, but with air, quite excellent now.
Paired perfectly with our grilled rosemary/basil rack of lamb.
We got this shipped from Wine Spectrum https://www.winespectrum.com/shop/
in Santa Rosa, ask for Erick. $35 plus shipping, but they are out of stock.

June 19, 2018 - Dark and deep without being too jammy or sweet. Leans in those directions, but nicely balanced with some structure and fruit.
