April 5, 2023 - Quite the surprise. i was expecting it to be DOA, but NO! Opens with a big nose of black pepper, black fruits and spice. Still a lot of flavor with mainly black fruits, spice, black pepper, espresso, and black cherry flavors .Very well balanced with soft tannins in the long finish. Showing really well now.

August 9, 2016 - Found this in the back of the cellar. Was worried it would be over the hill. Should not have worried. Very dark red in color. Very aromatic with spice, pepper, and black fruits. Similar flavors with a lot of spice and pepper. Very well balanced with soft tannins in the long finish. Very tasty now.

November 22, 2008 - A dark looking...dark enough not to see thru purple...with a meaty nose of dark ripe fruit highlighted by blackberry and a sense of game on the nose with a bit of spice and pepper. Great fruit presence that was just short of being fat and sweet...but the sharp frame work held this together...this wine has a distinct personality...nice stuff that is still evolving.
