November 16, 2016 - good on opening, then closed; better and more integrated on the 2nd day.

November 14, 2016 - Last bottle of a case. Very good, still improving. But near full maturity, methinks. Gave two bottles to the ex.

October 27, 2016 - Another good bottle, as Dr. Wine describes.

October 23, 2016 - Medium yellow. Classic black tea aromas. Its usual dry, mineral self on the palate. Once again, I was struck by the relative delicacy of this compared to more robust vintages of this cuvée. Delightful!

July 18, 2016 - Trimbach Frederic Emile Riesling Vertical-Six Vintages Between 1999 and 2009 (San Francisco): Herbal and very complex. Lacier and more elegant than any of the other wines. Endlessly complex; this probably evolved in the glass more than any of its stablemates. More orange and spice than any of the other vintages. Its delicacy reminded one of a German rather than Alsatian Riesling. A beauty with great potential.

(Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile) Sourced from grands crus Geisberg and Osterberg, says Jean Trimbach, the vines having an average age of 50 years, with the oldest up to 70. A bright and fresh nose here, limes and minerals in abundance, with a well-balanced and elegant substance. A grainy depth, supple and with plenty of appeal for the future. Excellent potential here.
