July 25, 2020 - Good weight and power. Apple-pear centred fruits accentuated with metallic minerality. Some mushroom and oak (?) notes as the wine evolves in the glass. Good but somewhat lacking balance and creaminess.
March 14, 2020 - Mineral, tart, yellow fruit. Tight. Enjoyed over three days.
June 17, 2019 - Strong scent of citrus. Light, dry, excellent cleansing acidity, bitter citrus, and a strongly stony finish. This hasn't really developed much creaminess since last tasted 18 months ago.
May 16, 2019 - Classic BdB taste with very strong brioche/butter.
Enjoyed this initially but became too strong by end of bottle - maybe a little chemical.
Needs much more time to soften??
Similar to Heidsieck Cuvee Rare.
May 13, 2019 - Corked!
April 14, 2019 - lot May 2011; disgorged February 2017.
Golden color with delicate persistent bead. Nose golden fruit, honey, floral. Palate lemony, some richness, nice acidity, good depth. Strongly mineral. Delightful, versatile with a range of strongly flavored food. 92 pts
October 25, 2018 - 95/100
A great saline and mineral Avizoise Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2010 by Agrapart & Fils.
Stellar nose of rye bread, dough, brioche, almonds, and honey. Fantastic, neatly balanced palate, salty, yeasty, but very clean and pure.
Dosage 5 g/l, bottled in May 2011, disgorged in November 2016.
What a hell of a wine! I’m loving it.
August 15, 2018 - The nose has plenty of citrus chalk and bread. It is a direct and crisp Champagne of good depth and precision. There's strong acid drive and a crisp, minerally finish.
March 22, 2018 - Good champagne for the money. Dry, mineral, and sharp with bright yellow fruit and lemon peel. Good weight.
February 12, 2018 - Needs a lot of time. Very structured and tight. Bright lemon. Wait at least 3-4 years before trying again.
