November 23, 2014 - Clear , deep ruby , legs
Medium + intensity aromas of eucaltyptus, black berry, bramble fruits, charcoal, chocolate, violet.
Medium acidity, fine medium tannins, medium alcohol, full body, high intensity flavours of black fruits, licorice, sweet spice, cinnamon, long finish.
Excellent quality Cab from Barossa valley, no bricking found even at 16 yrs of age, very concentrated ripe black fruit, with layers of licorice and sweet spice. Drink now but no problem to further age for another 10 years.

November 22, 2014 - Perhaps the best smelling cork I've ever experienced. The nose was rich with cedar, eucalyptus and dark red fruits. The wine was spectacular and drinking wonderfully now -- but I wouldn't hesitate to hold it another 10 + years. I suspect it will mellow and knit together the woods and fruits over time.

November 6, 2014 - Medium-dark garnet. Expressive nose with a noticeable minty, menthol and pine tree side to it. Other secondary aroma come in on top making it nice and complex. Medium bodied palate with good tannic core, now well integrated with age. This is more Medoc than Napa in style. Very popular with the tasting group tonight.

October 31, 2014 - Cabernet Sauvignon at C's: Again spices and herbs. Dark fruit however a touch of oxidization. Tannins resolved. Impressive long finish. 93. Drink now without long decant.

June 7, 2014 - No formal notes. Bottle was in great condition and I think will still improve with further age.

(Penfolds Bin 707 ) The latest vintage of this flagship wine has an intense nose of sweet, chewy, tarry bramble and blackcurrant fruit. It is sweet, rounded and smooth on the palate, with cigarbox notes and blackcurrant fruit. This wine is in a very simple, primary stage of its evolution. Tannins are prominent, yet very supple and there is balanced acidity. This wine needs a lot more time yet.
