November 5, 2022 - Corked. The acidity and mouthfeel on this seems great, but this was just too far gone.

July 16, 2022 - From memory with no notes taken, this was showing surprising resilience given its age. It is actually in the peak of its drinking window and should stay for a good few more years.

October 10, 2021 - The 1995 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc must have been an austere wine in its youth, but at age twenty-five, it's beginning to unwind enough to make for very interesting drinking. Offering up aromas of lemon pith, beeswax, pine needles and subtle hints of vanilla pod, it's medium-bodied, deep and incisive, with a satiny attack, it's concentrated, precise, and bone-dry. Patience has been rewarded, and I'm looking forward to my remaining bottles.

    May 7, 2019 - 🏅Rating 91/100 (4,1⭐)

Domaine de Chevalier is definitely among the top white wines of Pessac-Leognan region. These whites are rare and expensive and sometimes are capable of rivaling the finest white wines produced in France.
It is blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon. Fermentation and 18 months aging on lees in barrels with 30% new oak. Annual production is just about 12K bottles.

1995 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc with intense almost amber color showed its maturity. Oxidative on the nose. Bruised apples, pronounced woody oakiness, hint of citrus. Also herbal and somewhat smokey. Medium-bodied wine. Past its peak and declining.

July 27, 2018 - My last bottle of this and corked. With time the corkiness dissipated and the usual complexity came forward, but not as much as in the previous bottles.
