January 4, 2024 - PNP. Lemon rind and flint on the nose. The palate was sharply chiseled but not at all hard in the middle palate, with lovely fruit intensity, green apple and citrus fruit. Surprisingly tight for a 16, if this was served blind I would have guessed the vintage to be 14.

Day 2 update, I saved a pour in the fridge. This is holding up remarkably well. Still flinty on the nose, crisp on the palate with a texture showing pronounced salinity combined with drying acidity.

December 16, 2023 - Served a little on the cold side. But soon warmed up and opened up. Lemon, stone fruits, white florals. No ‘pop’ of sesame this time. Balanced, integrated, harmonious. Really good depth at this level. A small sip the following day held up very well, showing some saline and hint of sesame.

December 1, 2023 - Light gold color. The nose is steely and mineral, with lemon, yellow-green apple and a floral character. The palate is tense yet full, with a touch of oak, with a strong aging potential. Very long finish. Excellent wine, albeit very young.

    October 20, 2023 - not blind
Great village, typical reductive note but not much popcorn. Very pleasant. First nice drinking window. 95

October 19, 2023 - I’ve been drinking great meursault lately (shocker!) and this coche showed it’s pedigree. But in such a different manner. Bright lip smacking acidiity from the first touch of the palate until the finish. Lemon and lime zest, crushed rock, spring flowers and grass. But not as much salinity as I would expect from a “village” wine. All that said, it was spectacular and I am happy to drink coche whenever I can. Highest recommendation.

September 19, 2023 - Meursault Madness Dinner (Pomeroy - Winnetka IL): Ripe and nearly tropical with some tasters even finding banana notes. Enough structure easily keeps this upright now, but this isn't a vintage to lose in the back of the cellar.

December 4, 2022 - Citrus, crisp apple, minerality and lemon oil. Bottle needed time to open up. Wine was fresh, intense and firm structure. Very long finish. Probably still too young despite 2016 vintage. I drank the residual drops in the bottle next morning, and the acidity would penetrate through my tonsils.

November 24, 2022 - This was a big coche. Lemon lime and tropical fruits with a dollop of buttery oak giving a rich dare I say California chard impression. The wine was drinking very well. Green gold in color and medium body with firm acidity. Very enjoyable with our thanksgiving spread. Well recommended.

October 13, 2022 - Very tight to begin with, emitting just a whiff of petrol like reduction. Time in the decanter unlocks notes of white peach, chamomile and quince paste. It is dense, compact and chalky in the mouth. There’s some almond butter on the back-end and excellent length of flavour. It is still extremely youthful.

August 31, 2022 - Lovely nose, but less exciting on the palate than previous bottles. From a different parcel so quite possibly a bottling from a different cuvee (they make multiple).
