January 1, 2023 - 1994 Quarles Harris VP. Decanted about 9 hrs. Still a dark color but starting to show some light fading from its youth. While just starting to show some secondary characteristics, this is still mostly youthful plums and red stone fruit. A touch of licorice, slightly softening tannins and fabulous acidity. Maturing at a slightly faster rate than the top VP’s of this vintage, and a little less complexity, this is still youthful and full of upside potential. I loved the long lingering finish this possessed.
    92/100

November 26, 2020 - Another Trader Joe's buyer about five years back. Nice port iodiney penetration. Fig. Dryish. Perhaps a bit past peak, but very nice. Broadbent scale 3.

January 24, 2019 - VT94 Port Horizontal: Quite sweet blackberry fruit with fine-grained tannins. Almonds and spices with coffee/vanilla.
Very lovely balance with a great creamy structure.

May 12, 2016 - Another delicious bottle. Made by the Symington family, which also makes Dow's and Warre's vintage wines from Oporto. Significantly cheaper than other vintage port wines of comparable age. $40. Will buy again. This bottle tasted good over the course of three or four evenings. Although less leafy sediment than other bottles of Porto, it does have some fine sediment.
