July 7, 2020 - Dark purple, a zin fruit cocktail with a surprising second dimension. Classic peppery finish. At 15.1% abv, packs a punch. An excellent pizza or barbeque wine

May 26, 2019 - Delicious. Lots going on here — blueberry and spice, menthol, vegetable (V8 juice), cocoa. Intensity and length on the finish. Well done, a solid barbecue wine, and drinking well now from first pour.

August 11, 2018 - Zin for the Win (San Diego Wine Co.): Estate grown fruit is sorted & destemmed to open top fermenters, cold soaked for 3 days & fermented for 10; Aged 14 mos in 60% AM oak & 40% FR oak (20% new); 15.1% ABV, 5.9 g/L T.A., & 3.69 pH; 1,590 cases bottled April 6-7th, 2017.

    N: Closed; Berries, minerals

P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE frt met by some puckerish astringency which slowly, pretty much resolves as it transitions into a LONG, BALANCED finish with an enticing tangy/swtness to the very, VERY fine tannins. DESERVES another 6-12 mos, then drinking for 3-4 yrs more. NICELY done! My VG+/EXC-, likely the higher with a bit of time. 88 pts WS.
