October 18, 2021 - Very nice - an almost heady aroma of ripe red & black fruit and tar on the nose. Expansive on the palate. Mature, but with plenty of time in front of it as well - I have a few more of these, and I can see this making it’s 30th anniversary as well.

June 13, 2020 - Ripe cherries, some floral and mineral notes, lively, with good acidity and resolved tannins. Drinking well, but should hold up well for a few more years.

December 1, 2017 - A day 2 glass from a bottle opened for dinner last night. Translucent ruby in the glass, with a focused nose featuring red fruits and a nice tarry streak.

Light-bodied for a Barolo, decent persistence, ripe red fruit on the palate - approachable at this point, but also capable of drinking well over the next 10-15 years.

December 26, 2015 - Day 2 note on this; translucent ruby in the glass, with mentholated cherries on the nose.

Sweet and sour cherry fruit on the palate, decent acidity and persistence on the finish. This kind of got "lost" on Christmas Eve next to the '01 Monprivato, but by itself I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit tonight with pizza.

August 15, 2015 - Fragrant and perfumed aromas of roses and sap. Roses, dark cherries, tea on the palate. More advanced than last year's bottle, more slightly zest and tannic tea flavors at the expense of previously dominant sweet dark cherry and mint notes. Still, unmistakably more fleshy and more complex that '01 Serralunga and '00 Cerretta. Drinking very well now.
