September 20, 2022 - Tasted up against the same producers Lirac and Cairanne. This wine was more classic "Rhone" than the other two. The most developed and a bit more lean. It drinks very well now, but will keep for a few years more, no problem.
June 5, 2022 - A charming, fresh and rather light-bodied Southern Rhone. At first a bit rough on the edges so give it air for an hour or so. The nose shows flowery elements, red berries and something meaty; dried and smoked.
May 12, 2022 - Drank fine, could go a couple more years in the bottle. Went up against a shiraz from Concord region Victoria and came off second best.
October 27, 2020 - Very dark ruby color; aromatic, pepper, roasted black fruit, charcoal nose; tasty, roasted plum, charcoal, pepper palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (65% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre; 14% alcohol; composition cork)
August 3, 2020 - Three bottles all delivered w various foods
May 20, 2020 - Color: translucent dark red, dark dark edges, even slow legs
Nose: mild, black & blue fruit, wet earth, menthol
Palate: blackberry, dark cocoa, white pepper,
Mouthfeel: smooth and inviting start, but long super dry finish
Paired very well with jerk chicken believe it or not. Not overly complex but very enjoyable. Probably at least another 5 years in the bottle.
March 9, 2019 - .....very smooth; dark fruit
December 13, 2018 - Smooth and moderately light. Not too fruity with a thin finish. Discounted to $13, so not too bad.
October 7, 2018 - Dark Grenache fruits on the nose. Good ripeness but not jammy, has a fresh streak. Touch of spice and earth; fruit forward on the palate, very deliciously drinkable. Good weight. Lovely now. A great buy from the Foire aux Vins at LeClerc.
