July 27, 2022 - Lovely Bordeaux style red ! We have loved every wine on this label that we have had. Smokey and grapes on the nose. On the palette, smokey, and a mixture of grapes and cherries and plums to form a delicious tangy balance, Medium weight, great legs, My wife felt a slight perlant! ( She said, "that's bizarre! I've never felt a perlant in a red!" Eaten with (cheese, olive, plant- based burger, and. chilies) enchiladas. Delicious!!
7/29/22 - Had the remainder of the bottle with Margarita pizza tonight and green salad, it was lovely!

July 29, 2021 - Back to where it was for me: a great wine, wonderful bouquet and good structure that keeps it interesting. Paired great with steak, though frankly it's just a great drinking wine. I wouldn't let it breathe too long - think this one's pretty ready to drink after 20-30 mins now.

July 9, 2021 - Briefly... well it's a decent, nicely balanced, fruity wine with smooth tannins.

But for me it's a US$35-40 example of that, not the US$70 I paid, and certainly not the CAV of US$105!

This one was decanted and drunk 30-60 minutes later. I'll try giving my other bottle a load more air to see if that steps things up a notch.

February 20, 2021 - A year since my last bottle
Deep, dark, rich purple in color.
Meaty characteristics, cotton candy, some dark fruit
Dry, aggressive tannin, long finish. Some dark fruit. Grippy. A well made wine that is not drinking as well as 12 months ago. Possibly entering a dumb stage. Still fantastic, but not jaw dropping. Looking forward to my next bottle in 12+ months.

September 27, 2020 - Certainly my favorite new discovery this year and neck and neck for favorite all time. Wonderful, almost rolling tannin structure, impeccable fruit (blackberries and sultanas), slight salt on the flourish. Delicious.

February 16, 2020 - Opened this wine at 09:00hrs So, opened, decanted, and consumed over twelve hours.

    Dark ruby, full bodied wine.

    *PRODUCERS NOTES

The aroma presents notes of fresh red and black fruit, with complex and elegant spices. In the palate, the tannins are juicy and vibrant, with the energy and vitality associated with an excellent texture and a long finish.

    *My comments

This wine is absolutely amazing. Soft, loads of finesse, and approachable now. Think Bordeaux. I get why this winery was voted New World Winery of the year 2018. This is case worthy without a doubt.

September 29, 2018 - James Suckling - Great Wines of the Andes 2018 (The Presidio, SF): a little reductive. Tight. Black fruit. Strong m plus acid. High tannins. Dark fruit. Tastes like great Chilean cab blend.
