May 16, 2021 - In a beautiful spot, loved it.
April 25, 2018 - Bannister/WX/BS Dinner (S.K.Y.): From magnum. Thanks Charles Hetzel.
Lovely showing. Some nice age on the nose.
Rustic savory notes. Great spice fruit, moderate bright berries.
Well integrated tannins. Drinking well today.
September 5, 2015 - 15 years old and still vibrant. Went to a nice steakhouse with the family, and it even fooled the Som that it was a merlot. Soft dark berries with a hint of oak and vanilla. Perfect with a steak.
September 14, 2012 - A jammy mouthful. Tasty, drinking well. Very nice merlot.
July 1, 2012 - Reading the notes below I decanted and filtered the wine. this bottle had little to no sediment at all. At first nothing, 30 minutes into the decanter started loosen up a bit revealing sweet jammy fruit with light dry tanning a bit of spice from wood. I'm not an expert but I think this wine it's not past it's prime its drinking very well. For $30 I will come back no problem.
May 14, 2011 - Great fruit, a touch of strawberry. Great showing for a 2000.
November 26, 2010 - Nice wine. Lots of sediment. Needs to be decanted and filtered. Otherwise nice nose and fruit. Drink sooner than later.
March 14, 2009 - huge amount of sediment in this bottle
September 13, 2008 - This wine is nice. Dark fruits that are both sweet and round; almost too round. This could use a little more structure, but it is very drinkable and has a pleasant finish. Drink up.
August 3, 2007 - Undrinkable. Stood up in advance and decanted out but still gritty, dirty mix. Light streak of off-color taste near end. Likely bad. Second day no better.
