February 3, 2024 - Still drinking well after some time to open up; little of the getting port-ish issue Turkey's with some age can get. Blueberry, blackberry fruit, shy of jammy. Black pepper. Long finish.
December 29, 2023 - Medium ruby color with slow legs. Cranberry, green tea and pepper n the nose. Mixed jam on the palate with some mineral and spices on the palate. Long leathery finish.
December 22, 2023 - Decanted 45 min. Aromas of red fruits. Consistent tastes of red fruits (raspberry).
October 28, 2023 - Still holding big berry but well balanced at this point. Benefited from a full hour of decanting. Tight on the open but became aromatic and full with time. Typical berry as anyone would expect but a little maturity with some earth and mushroom on the finish. Perfect with tri-tip. No need to wait any longer.
September 25, 2023 - As always, Pesenti is a cut above. Consistent with my previous note, love the flavor here.
August 30, 2023 - A bunch of us from the office went to a local BYOB for lunch. Brought this bottle and an Ueberroth of the same vintage. Red fruit on the nose, the palate was red berries, strawberry and a touch of rhubarb leading to a nice finish.
August 25, 2023 - Structured, dark garnet red fruit. Have found the '17 Turley's to have a lot of intensity and this followed suit. Unfurled a bit with air in the glass but tasted younger than its bottle age. A pretty pair for pizza and related on a nice summer's eve patio. Enjoyed this one.
August 3, 2023 - Spicy red fruits with a little green finish. Drink now, don’t wait.
