August 8, 2019 - My sense is that this wine has really come into its own at 15 years of age, as the nose was intoxicating and came roaring out of the glass - one of the finest Pinot noses I've experienced. On the turn between fruit and forest floor, and lovely with it - I didn't want the glass to end.

June 5, 2015 - Lightly structured nose with sense of complexity, licorice, hint of mango, straw and earth. Don't age although can still be consumed a few years from now.

June 18, 2011 - Light brick, green wood and dark red fruit nose. Initial taste a lot of green wood but this gradually went away to reveal nice balance of fruit, undergrowth, earth, wood. Quite a lot of cinnamon and spice. Smooth and velvety finish, if not quite as complex as I'd hoped. Still, I thought this was excellent quality and price point for a Villages. 88/89.

May 16, 2010 - The last bottle of this was about 2 years ago and there was definitely some of the green meanies lurking.. not so much this time, it seems to have receded into the background. Pretty much gone, which bodes well for my remaining '04s... A bit astringent and watery but its more in keeping with the character of the vintage than anything else... nice chambolle elegance, showing a bit bit of bottle age, this really seems to be in a nice place... a decent bottle of wine.

December 19, 2009 - Chambolle elegance. Perhaps little thin and green due to the vintage. Yet, a very enjoyable wine. Only wish I had more.

(Hudelot-Noellat Chambolle Musigny) This was utterly classic Chambolle. Super floral on the nose with a delicate, lacey, elegant and ethereal palate. Red fruit and no hint of greeness.
