December 2, 2023 - ESTG Year-End Tasting (Newcastle, WA): Mmm, some pine forest on the nose. Seriously closed. A pure, tannic, mineral core. It slowly gains some florals, but it just wants time, much more time.

November 3, 2023 - Served at Confrerie event in same flight as astounding 2001 Potel Bonnes Mares (95). Rustic, very Latricieres with tell-tale spices, minerals, and Chambertin earth and palate. Last wine of the night so notes not extensive. "93-ish" in my notes. Quite complete and clearly Grand Cru level without the (astonishing) elegance and fragrance of the Potel.

Before the 2007 revolution in winemaking here, so bigger and less elegant than the wines 2007 forward. I buy this wine every year and this wine helped me to anchor my thoughts about this wine over time.

October 18, 2022 - Plenty to like here. Classic Burgundy nose. Mid-weight with super long finish. Delicious!
