October 22, 2022 - Caramel , cola and lime. Drying sensation due to the still super high acidity outpointing the sugar level. 10% alcohol. A little glass is all you need of this.

April 22, 2022 - Our first Tokaji so nothing to compare. Dark brown color. Lots of caramel and dried fruits. It may be immortal. Had first glass 3/29 and stored stoppered but not vacuumed in the fridge until the last glass on 4/15 - it did not change AT ALL!

January 31, 2021 - Dark colour, similar to that of a decent pint of bitter. Not quite fully black yet.

Lots of caramel on the nose.

Palate is pure Bual Madeira flavours at this point. Dried cherries, stonefruits and caramel. Most of all you notice the acidity, it's HUGE and really does help balance out the tremendous amount of sugar.

This is 25 years old and still great, I'd not want to put an end date on this and I certainly wouldn't be in a hurry to drunk up. Bit too sweet for me personally though.

May 14, 2020 - Dark brown like Newcastle Brown Ale. Concentrated tokaj nose of carmel/lime/some sort of marmalade. Tasting ever so like a botrytis riesling left alone , forgotten until it turns brown but somehow with still good acid levels cutting the sweetness. That tokaji lightness married with caramel and lime. Pretty moreish with the proviso that a little goes a long way with this style of wine. Longevity wise it seems in stasis. After tasting a '67 I never claim an endpoint for these wines. Just need the right light apple flan to match to something like this, doesn't have the food matching versatility of a typical sticky.

June 28, 2019 - nutty, marmalade, dried tangerine peel, honey, sweet on the palate but comes with plenty of acidity, too.
