August 29, 2022 - On PnP, a bit cloudy. Medium bodied. Mature, a bit over-mature fruits, with overtones of lead, bramble, kirsch. Slightly sour-ish after initial tastes, but with pretty long finish of the same character. Perhaps that will tone down after it’s open a bit.

May 11, 2020 - Drinking extremely well. Age has mellowed hot finish from high alcohol, cherries and kirsch in flavors. Aroma a little closed but makes up for it in the mouth.

October 5, 2019 - Drinking wonderfully. Earth-laden notes of strawberries, Queen Anne cherries, raspberries, and sous bois. Nicely balanced with a clean finish.

April 16, 2017 - Soft, restrained, delicious. I was waiting for this wine to "wake up" but am learning with each bottle that it's not one of the more complex Williams Selyem wines. Instead, it's simply a well-crafted, delicate Pinot that can hold its own in the mid-market. Very pleasant to drink.

September 1, 2015 - 13.8% alcohol. Red cherry color, lighter at the rim of the glass but no bricking. Wonderful nose of red cherry and earth, with a hint of minerals in the background. In the mouth, bright cherry fruit is the soul of the palate, exploding with pleasing life. Strong acidity and otherwise uncomplicated, with a bit of earth, but the cherry is strong, lively, and appealing. It's purity is terrific. A-

August 27, 2015 - Lovely now, but should have waited for greatness. Succulent and juicy orange notes, core of red fruit, medium/full in mouth yet exhibiting caressing tannins and a true feminine touch with roses and silky finish. Now thru 2025 92pts

July 23, 2015 - This was my first WS "Central Coast" so drank with no expectations from prior bottles other than other pinots by this company. Opened the wine about an hour before dinner. Modest, dark fruit nose but opened a bit more with time in the glass. Smooth, nicely balanced wine, with some cherry/strawberry on the palate. Did not exhibit the complexity of the winemaker's RRV varietal of the same vintage. Nice finish.

June 20, 2014 - This Pinot is really coming back to life! Just a few months ago it was quiet, rather "flat" and not very interesting. But now it has the layers and depth that showcase the classic Williams Selyem complexity that we know and love. This is not an overly-concentrated fruit bomb, but instead a delicate Pinot with balanced acidity and subtle fruit transitions. Enjoyed over two days and it didn't disappoint.
