May 19, 2024 - Decanted and stored at cellar temperature for 3 hours prior to consumption. Paired with grilling filet mignon, baked potato and salad. Showing quite well now. Spicy nose - presumably the cab franc. Medium + body, but resolved tannins. Not hot at all, surprisingly. Long finish. I’m sure this can stand more time, but great right now.

April 6, 2024 - This is in a really accessible spot. Decanted maybe 90 minutes and it was firing on all cylinders. Feels like this will drink well for decades.

October 27, 2023 - Outstanding. Best with a 2 hour decant and absolutely has room for improvement. Has elegance over power but still very full flavored.

November 11, 2022 - I was certain this was going to be too young but after 90 minutes, the fruit really started to shine and continued to develop throughout the evening. Everything in good balance and will age beautifully. I really enjoyed this wine. I wouldn't call it jammy but it was fruit forward once it opened up.

December 29, 2021 - I like it and want to love it -- much as I loved the smashing 2015 -- but I can't quite get there. High points for complexity even at this early date: sweat, eraser, graphite, steel, coffee, chocolate, raspberry, and that thing the experts call "garrigue." But I'm having a hard time deciding whether it's graceful, underwhelming, or simply closed for business. Five more years might clarify things, but I can't see rebuying if I can find the 2015 for the same price.

August 14, 2020 - No nose to speak up. High alcohol. Subtle mineral. Smooth finish

April 22, 2020 - Deep garnet color. Not much nose. Still young. Tart and tight on the back of the tongue. Big tannins. Long finish. Long, slow, legs.
