May 27, 2016 - Strong mineral (licorice) and ripe dark fruit on the nose. Full bodied, dense and extracted, delivering loads of salt licorice and a bit of very ripe dark fruit with considerable heat on the finish. Rather smooth tannins. I do like robust and fruit driven wines, but this is on a different level. So concentrated and mineral driven, the super ripe fruit past its prime, lots of alcohol pushing through. I like it, but not as a red wine, more like a dry port or fortified wine.

May 22, 2016 - It is difficult to do a proper tasting note on a wine like this. TNs need to be objective evaluations of a wine's quality, not just a recounting of the tasters personal preferences. This behemoth of a wine had tons of super-ripe flavor (blackberries and blueberries) and a nose to match. Definitely striving for a push the envelope style, it came across as out of balance to me. The fruit screamed so loudly you could not pick up any subtle nuances or complexity. The body was so full that it resembled a blueberry milkshake. And there was a quite notable heat from the alcohol. Simply too much for us, but we can see other palates taking a different view, if they like that style. www.advinetures.ca

May 11, 2016 - This is a great fruit purity kind of wine with years to go.

November 21, 2015 - Nov 21st 2015 "Getting the Band back Together" Tasting at Adam's (Phredd's Casa): Sheila's wine (she also brought the 2007 as a comparison). Super-jammy and extracted blueberry-cherry pop-tart filling that burned on the finish and was at least 89 octane. Label says 16% abv but I have to assume they were just guessing. In case I wasn't clear, I found the the alcohol to be tremendously overbalanced. Evaluation C. Prompted a hilarious metaphor- "this is what Obamacare tastes like to JohnR", as an exaggeration of the style in terms of current political rhetoric.

August 15, 2015 - knows a fruitcake and Anise. Soft tannins and well integrated while the alcohol is not too hot. Dark fruits with a hint of chocolate on the finish. Tasted much better day two after had time to air out in the bottle.

(MOLLYDOOKER BLUE EYED BOY SHIRAZ) #2; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-very dark, beautiful chocolate rasinettes; baked cakes; TASTE-this is very good; brings an enormous amount of flavor (licorice, skittles, candy, Fruit Punch, Hi-C); very Over-the-Top & explosive; a little lacking in complexity; little dark coffee on the finish; really tasty; GV-91
