May 14, 2022 - Rubied; cherries, heady, textbook; plenty of oomph, bags of fruit; potent finish - overly so. If this fully integrates could be rather splendid.
March 17, 2022 - Gamay and Famille Paquet (Chicago, IL): Less convincing than the 2020 version of this. This was too intense and chewy, but lacking the complexity for a more serious wine too given how fruity and juicy this was. Kind of stuck in a bit of a no-man's land.
September 1, 2021 - This is my second time with this cuvee but first time with this vintage. I have yet to be impressed with cuvee Camille. Step up in concentration from Morgon N ‘18 but lacking in elegance and vin de soif quality. Tastes drier but there is also a fleeting sense of alcoholic heat. Dark cherry fruit, red apple skin, red peppercorn, cinnamon, clove. The finish comes off harsh with some bitter tannins. More body shown on day 2 but I am not seeing much room for growth. I much preferred the Morgon N.
July 10, 2021 - Boulder Burgundy Festival 2019 with Adam M ~ Strong notes of cinnamon complement the cherry.
June 6, 2021 - A bit better than previous bottle from one year ago (alc. didn't poke out so much this time). This bottle did see more air than the previous one, but it's still very much on the big side for BoJo. Paired well with hamburgers.
August 15, 2020 - Très très joli nez sur les fruits rouges, les épices (poivre) de fleur, auxquels s'ajoutent des notes sanguines et de pierre chaude.
Bouche avec du volume, une texture soyeuse, du dynamisme. L'équilibre est parfait, les 14,5° passent totalement inaperçus (vin servi un peu frais ceci dit).
Tres bonne persistance sur la complexité aromatique perçue au nez.
June 20, 2020 - Opened and decanted 2.5 hours ahead of grilled marinated pork loin, roasted potatoes, and mixed veggies. Dark, cloudy violet color. The nose is floral and perfumed, bringing cherry spice box, pipe tobacco, cloves, blackberry pie, and fresh lavender. The palate is medium, square, compact, and concentrated, bringing strawberries and blackberries mixed with cola, rhubarb, more cloves, and tangy raspberries into the tannic, hard finish. Drink 2021 - 2026. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.

NOSE: high-toned; strong note of crushed strawberries; medium to medium+ expressiveness.
BODY: garnet-violet color of medium-light to medium depth; medium to medium-full bodied.
TASTE: tastes a bit alcoholic (and it is labelled at 14.5%); red-fruited; lightly tannic; too alcoholic for my preferences – would love to see this around 12.5% to 13.5%.. Gut impression score: high 80s. Not a rebuy for me in this vintage.
