April 27, 2021 - Fresh and crisp Weisburgunder: tropical fruit, white peach, minerals, stone, soft toast, excellent starter on a sunny day like today. RJ and family over

February 14, 2021 - This was a little better than my last taste about 20 months ago. It has a bit more depth and layers of flavor. Lime and lemon, guava, lychee, stone fruit and some new rubber are among the scents and flavors. Bright and slightly saline. Mineral laden finish. Weightier texture as well. Finish also has a creaminess not present on the nose or the attack. This was an excellent accompaniment to my lobster and fennel risotto.

December 13, 2020 - Lovely, with interesting herbal notes throughout. Definitely a wine you can allow to warm slightly after you pull from fridge. Nice wine.

May 13, 2020 - Pale golden, closed nose, crystalline. Dry, medium acidity, medium @12.5% abv., medium(+) body. Lemon, peach and quince and mineral notes. Creamy, slightly astringent mouthfeel. Purity and focus, good length finish.

May 7, 2020 - Attractive flavors of peach, green apple, lychee golden fig, banana, and pineapple with meyer lemon, yeast, and minerals on the finish. Beautiful wine, but not profound. Delong’s chart says, “Chardonnay-like but not as complex” and this description seems about right. Good match with smoked rice. Fermented in large used barrels and four months of agiing in large barrels made of local oak. Soil is volcanic and loess loam. Has plenty of life left.

March 8, 2020 - Notes de fruits en can, banane (!), ce n’est pas négatif mais assez inusité et en mode subtil. Bouche franche, tranchante, de grande intensité pour ce vin frais frais et précis.

September 5, 2019 - Pale straw in color with glint of gold. Nose of bananas, peach, and hints of mineral. Tastes of tropical fruit, peaches, and an interesting underlying creaminess. Not as structured as the S, but drinking well now.
