November 14, 2010 - Drank with a spiced steak dish. Strong Rutherford character, with licorice and spices underneath the fruit. While performing well at this stage, I see no need to rush to open, will probably last a few more years, albeit with less development.

August 1, 2010 - 3 hour decant. Great cab. Very rich fruit, supported by soft tannins. Finishes with herbs, vanilla, blackberry.

January 29, 2008 - It's been nearly two years since we last had this wine and in that time the tannins have softened quite a bit. Lots of currant and oak dominating this wine and I don't see it really improving much more with additional aging. Enjoy it now while it is at its best.

November 24, 2007 - Nice dark color, lots of fruit and oak. Has quite a bit of the "Rutherford Dust" which I really like. This is one of my favortie cabs, and at $38, a pretty solid QPR.

January 21, 2007 - Incredible deep purple color. Full body, heavy fruit, Nice finish, a hint of earthiness. Not as complex as some top flight cabernet. Very good overall, especially considering price

August 18, 2006 - Chronicle: Drk soft blkberry, ripe plum, soft van.; some cold coffee, espresso notes, earthy fin.; low a’s, millow is the work! Hi t’s, big t’s fin. with oak all over it. Well done classic people’s CS, but boring, no character, low a’s, oaky soft wine.

April 23, 2006 - 2002 was a great year for Napa Valley Cabs and unfortunately the prices of the more well known producers reflect that. However there are still some great values out there and this is one of them. This one goes very well with strong cheeses. Lots of oak so if that's your cab style then try it out.
