February 15, 2024 - 金色的酒液和若有似无的气泡,昭示酒已经进入了完全成熟期。香气同样以成熟浓苹果和酵母、奶油等衍生香气为主,还有淡淡的菌菇气息,果味和复杂度略有不足,但在口中有很好的集中度,浓郁持久。
April 30, 2023 - Kirsebær, fudge, tobakk og brunet smør på lukt. Intens og balansert i munnen. Frisk som en fisk. Perfekt til torsk med soyasmør med hvitløk og sitron. Fullmoden og veldig god! Faktisk best med litt luft.
December 24, 2022 - Initially oxidized aromas, but with some air it disappears. On the palate, a mature, developed Champagne; yeast, brioche, mushroom. Balanced, complex, good intensity, with a long finish. Still within drinking window.
June 24, 2021 - From mag. Gentle mousse with an equally gentle, creamy palate. Rich, nutty. Drink up though, even in mag.
June 24, 2021 - Gareth's Magnum Dinner, part 1 (Noize): Magnum. Really enjoyable start to the evening: gentle, lifted, a nice tang to the finish. Scarcely any bubbles left but I didn't mind that. Maybe a tad too sweet, and not the most complex, but very happy to get multiple top-ups.
December 24, 2020 - Still going strong. Less bobbles, but quite lively. Fully mature, but can stay around for another 3-4 years.
September 26, 2020 - MG. Good mousse persistent throughout the evening. Nice, rich and creamy Pol Roger. Maybe a bit to much dosage for my taste.
July 11, 2020 - No sound when opened, and most of the bubbles/mousse were long gone. Still drank reasonably well as more of a still wine, although there was some oxidation as well. Flawed but still drinkable. Based on this bottle and other recent notes, time to drink up ASAP.
June 8, 2020 - Only light bubbles left but otherwise super intact wine with hints of mushrooms. Long finish. Great champagne
December 13, 2019 - From MG. Very fresh and lots of fine bubbles. Quite closed to begin with but opened over time. Classic Pol just entering its drinking window which is long from MG.
