    September 3, 2010 - Decanted for 1 hour.
Very dark and matte colour in the glass...almost black. It shows big concentration of fruit along with powerful tannins that started to melt down due to the aeration. It's very concentrated on the palate with powerful tannins and pronounced astringency that became much softer after 2 hours. On the nose, it evolved from typical peppery Syrah to a more fruity character with blueberries, raspberries, screaming toffee and mild oak. This is very good and interesting wine. No need to cellar it any longer. Drink it now! Highly recommended! 90+

August 17, 2009 - Very unusual taste, but a nice blend. A bit of tar or medicinal aroma on opening and still a bit tannic, none the less very nice with stuffed ground beef burgers and veggies.

June 30, 2007 - Jane and Neil's Wedding Day Wine Selection Tasting (At home): Deep/opaque purple, no rim. Tarry, intense, ripe blackcurrant nose, cocoa, spice. Brooding, palate-staining blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, cocoa, vanilla, huge, ripe tannic structure, decent acidity and a very good length finish. Impressive, and one for laying down. 88+

April 27, 2007 - MONSTER!! This wine is a huge bruiser! Deep red in colour with a very upfront jammy nose but slightly one dimensional as not a lot else coming through. Taste is big and I mean big! Very new world, cassis, chocolate, spice. A little heat from the alcohol but it's in keeping with the style of the wine so not out of balance. Nice!
