Community Tasting Notes 5

December 9, 2010 - Brought from cellar for wine group annual holiday dinner. Pale pink. Bread, crushed stones and hint of strawberry on the nose. Decent mature palate of yeast, bread, butter and hint of strawberry. Nice mousse, but light bead. No major flaws, decent aperitif, but lacking oomph! Did not enjoy this as much as prior 3 bottles from my cellar, but still nice. Would not hold this too much longer

August 21, 2010 - Nice wine. Light strawberry color and nice yeasty nose. Slightly off dry with hint of strawberry, chalk and yeast. Very fresh. Balanced with perfect acidity. Good mousse and bubbles throughout. Last tried from my cellar 3+ years ago and holding up very well.

May 3, 2006 - Taken from my cellar for byob dinner with 5 freinds who all gave it high marks which is unusual, since we rarely agree. Beautiful soft color, smooth, slightly yeasty, but not overly acidic nor sweet, as some roses tend too be. Perfect for easy, subtle, drinking now. Great wine for the price. Mid $ 50's for an 11 year old vintage.
