    January 26, 2022 - Rich flavors, golden color. Ripe pear with well integrated oak. Medium finish. Drink up!

    November 5, 2021 - My second bottle of this purchased from a local wine store. Disappointing again. A bit watery, some oak, tart, and little fruit. I’m thinking these must not be representative. Perhaps a storage issue at the store.

    July 4, 2021 - We really enjoyed this wine. Upon opening, there was a low layer of grapefruit and more pronounced peach. As we drink it a mango flavor, full in the mouth settled in. And at the end there was a touch of butter that we found quite nice. I think it is at its peak and ready to go.

    June 30, 2021 - From memory, also had the Pinot, and perhaps it's just my evolving pallet, but it was one of the most heavily oaked whites I recall having. Was a bit difficult to drink, even with food. The oak was so pronounced and distracting that it was difficult to rate the wine's other qualities. That said, Hansel is quite successful, and lots of lovers of this bottle out there.
    The wine looks straw colored.

    April 23, 2021 - Straw/light gold in color. Apple and spice aromas. Rich on the palate with some unusual flavors I can’t identify. Takes about 45 minutes to open up. Good long finish.
