April 2, 2023 - Better with age, and QPR pretty good, but no reason to wait on this one.

    December 24, 2022 - Christmas family dinner 2022

    NV Drappier Carte d*Or Champagne (1 magnum) - 90p
My last tasting note on CT dates back to 2013 (!). Brilliant Pinot Noir based apero (75% PN, 15% Chardonnay, 10% Meunier) with 7g/L dosage.

2021 Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Gelblack trocken (4 bottles) - 90p
I tried all Gelblack vintages since 2013 and this is imo the best one since 2015. Creamy and highly mineralic Riesling with peaches and salty herbs.

2017 Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon Innisfree (2 bottles) - 90p
3h decant. Purple, dark red colour. Lovely dark red/black berries, oak, tobacco, tarragon, and dark chocolate.

    2010 Château Les Ormes (2 bottles) - 93p
2h decant. WOTN for everyone (except my father).5 years ago I rated this wine 90+p and it has developed nicely since then. Smooth and elegant St. Julien, classy and lovely!

December 18, 2022 - Nice on the nose and deep purple in colour. Dry, very full bodied, medium to medium low acidity and medium high tannic. On the palate lots of blackberry and just a little bit of vanilla, so definitely a rather fruit forward Cabernet with primarily fruity characteristics, the oak influence is still there though. Finish was medium but nice, also more so dominated by blackberry. Decanting for an hour is recommended. Cheers :) . At 5 years of age definitely way more years it can be stored for.

September 1, 2022 - This openend up nicely after 1.5h in the decanter, hence much earlier than my previous 2 bottles in 2021. I assume that this is currently getting closer to mid drinking window.

    May 15, 2022 - 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot & 1% Cabernet Franc. 18 months in 48% new oak barrels (62% French, 38% American) & 52% one-to two-year-old barrels

At this moment in time - this needs a 2+ hour decant. Blueberry, baking spices, cassis, graphite, licorice, slightly herbal.

    March 13, 2022 - The 3rd time try of Innisfree 2017.
Very different from the 1st and 2nd try.
Dark berries, full body, balance tanin, and sweetness.
    A typical Napa Cab.
