April 12, 2024 - Really holding up well...deep, intense, drinkable.
January 21, 2024 - I have always liked the CVR and this 2017 was exceptionally good. Tannins and fruit are very well balanced and the 14.8% doesn't really show itself. I was quite impressed how this bottle has aged.
January 20, 2024 - Floral on nose, smoked meat, cherry liqueur, full bodied. Despite alcohol weight it wasn’t noticeable. Very integrated tannins. Decanted 3 hours.
December 27, 2023 - Enjoyed with tenderloin. Great finish. Another good year for CVR
December 25, 2023 - Very nice wine. Paired with fondu which was.not ideal but we finished the bottle quickly.
November 2, 2023 - 90 min decant. Nose of cassis, raspberry and leather, with flavors of cassis, sweet pipe tobacco and dark chocolate. Finish is quite long and sweet, tannins are light but chewy, and acidity is medium...perfect pairing for a steak. Drinking very well right now, particularly on day 2. Drink now - 2032.
October 15, 2023 - Double decant. Black and blue fruits. Spice. Long finish. This one is a bit less oaky than previous vintages. Still I’d prefer even less for my taste. It’s a solid and reliable big wa cab for the money.
September 20, 2023 - Exceptional wine, has it all - long finish, lots of complexity with red and dark fruits, maple, wildflower, cedar. Tannins well integrated, super smooth. In the top 5 wines I’ve ever had.
September 3, 2023 - Beautiful rich nose. Some hints of cocoa and cassis with an incredimently long finish for the lower tier Quilted bottling. Great winemaker and very good wine.
August 8, 2023 - Best wine for the price. Period!
