February 24, 2024 - Wonderful, with lots of dark fruit. Soft and approachable but still has plenty of personality.

February 7, 2023 - Not overly complex at this stage of its life, but still quite an enjoyable and balanced wine which we all very much enjoyed. I would suggest a 30 min slow ox as it had a bit of an astringent taste at first pour which quickly dissipated.

June 19, 2022 - Beautiful wine - even better than a year ago. Addictive, very complex, smooth. Drink or continue to hold. 94

December 18, 2021 - Great nose. Forest floor, bramble, red liqorice, blackcurrant leaf. Strong fruit up front then savory mid-palate with an intriguing line of minerality. Finishes with bursting gobs of fruit. Velvety mouth feel with medium acid to keep it fresh. Still some tannic grip.
On the 1st day, this was a little underwhelming but really came alive on the 2nd day. I think this will be much better in 5/10 years. Interesting to read some other reviews on this being parkerized, and there’s no doubt this is a big wine carrying 15.5% alcohol, but personally I don’t see a problem here. My preference is typically for lighter, more austere wines, but I thoroughly enjoyed this and think it is aging well.
