Community Tasting Notes 2

February 8, 2014 - From a nice looking bottle with a 3.5 cm fill, this wine had a yellow/gold color with a hint of green. The high- intensity nose showed lemon, white stone, creme brulee, and some honey.
In the mouth (after 3 hours of air), this wine was ripe with a rich glycerol mouth-feel. However, the crisp acidity and green apple flavor (in addition to the flavors noted above) left the taster feeling the wine was lean like a Chablis. In fact it had both characteristics. While maybe not the best integrated wine, it was tasty and had fantastic length.
I love the consistency of Bonneau. This bottle, as well as the 1983 consumed recently, show just how much time this wine needs to really show its stuff. Very impressive! Enjoy!
