June 25, 2023 - Opened 6 hours in advance. Ruby. A little sweaty on the nose. Medium weight. Ripe, round black cherry attack, then soil, solid acidity, and substantial tannin. Cleaner than it seemed aromatically. This is easily approachable now yet at the front end of its drinking window. It reinforces my view of Teurons as one of the most serious, structured Beaune Premier Crus.

January 2, 2023 - This bottle showed much a more youthful profile than my last bottle, with grippy tannins and some oak. Still quite enjoyable, with some tertiary development.

May 21, 2022 - Some burnt rubber tar and dried out tannins. Giving the benefit of the doubt that this is an off bottle.

March 26, 2022 - Beautiful aromatics, with loads of savory tea, dark red cherry, iron. Full bodied and rich, very well balanced, complex, with velvet tannins. Medium finish. This bottle was ready to go.

August 5, 2018 - Powerful dark red cherry and currant fruit mixed with oak spice, milk chocolate, mint, herbs de provence- type feel with bits of hedge grow, rocky soil inflections and a long fruit saturated finish. Quite tannic but appears to have good material in the background slowly making its way to the forefront again. This still shows a significant oak signature today and makes the wine a bit impenetrable to get at the heart of the material but time should allow this to show much more in the future. Rustic. 91 points today.

July 11, 2018 - This is rated 92 by burghound but I couldn’t get close to that , barnyard on the nose and thickish and undistinguished on the palate

April 7, 2018 - Albert Morot's wines take an age to come round and can be very tough for years but worth the wait. second bottle out of the case and this was singing. Light cherry red , beautifully poised on nose, natural and unforced. Grew as the bottle was drunk. Lovely light cherry /strawberry fruit, some mineral and earth. Fruit on palate with some richness showing the vintage but that streak of mineral and earth runs through. Maintains the poise on the finish. Beaune does not get much better than this.

May 27, 2017 - Consistent with last note but coming more into it’s drinking window.
Colour just starting to lighten. Pure fruit on nose with first hit then a slight rustic mineral twist. Fine firm fruit on palate, excellent balance of fruit and structure . Earth and a hint of sous bois. Lovely glass of wine

March 11, 2017 - Uninspiring at this stage. Clearly young and not yet ready for business. Mostly primary on the nose, with red cherries dominating. Weighty on the palate, and obviously tannic. Wait another few years.
