April 9, 2024 - Mmm, super peppery, spicy, fruitcake, a touch of dried fruit, old school, so traditional, grilled plum, meaty, black pepper, stern. Some tannin still there on the finish.

January 13, 2024 - Plums, stewed cherries, and cedar. Med+ bodied, med acidity, and rounded tannins that cling slightly. I would hope for more acidity but it’s in a good spot. Drink up but don’t think it’s declining.

September 15, 2023 - Dry cherries and stewed fruits with leather on the palate. Medium lingering tannins with well integrated acids. Still many more years to enjoy. Paired with a queen Anne’s lace cheese that really intensifies the richness of the fruit.

August 11, 2023 - Very well balanced with now tertiary flavors. Still good acidity and structure. Believe it or not matched perfectly with raspberry white chocolate cake! I would not keep the bottle more, there is not more to be added unless you are in an experiment with the bottle!

June 22, 2023 - Beautiful aromatics, sweet fruit, leather, elegant, long finish, very well balanced. Still a trace of tannins. This bottle is a wonderful mature CdP.

4/19/2006 (link)(Vieux Telegraphe) Nose was a medley of dark flowers, granite, dark herbs and redcurrants. Brooding nose that developed wonderful floral aromas after extended aeration. The fruit has a wonderful restrained sweetness but definetly has that extra sweet lift in the mid-palate that makes this a great wine. Tannins are perfectly ripe and the minerality extends nicely on the finish. Great wine with fantastic structure and sure to last 10-15 years.

4/25/2005 (link)(Vieux Telegraphe) Nose of stones, red cherries, hay, aromatic herbs and even some lavender. Galet-like stony tannins in the mouth with beautiful pure fruit with a charming rustic edge to it. Ample acidity and fine-tuned grainy tannins with wonderful amplitude in the mouth. Like someone spiked some Pommard with CDP.

9/25/2004 (link)(Vieux Telegraphe) Gorgeous nose of crushed red berry fruit, stones, mint, red flowers, leaves, orange peel and minerals. Wonderful complexity on the nose. A hint of bbq sauce develops after a while. Tons of Christmas spice and berry fruit. Great length, tannins and stony minerality. Tremendous structure. What a showing for this wine. Ideally needs another five years but delicious today.
