February 10, 2017 - It is remarkable that an 11+ year-old wine at this price point it still drinking this decently, even though there's not much to get excited about. The color is a medium (+) tawny-brown. It appears to be unfiltered. The nose is medium (+) in intensity, and tertiary, with aromas of compost, cured meat, tar, balsamic, medicinal herbs. The palate is dry, with medium acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol (14.1%). The palate is a little less developed than the nose, with red and black fruit, tea, tobacco and cedar. This actually drank much better a full week after being opened and vacuum-vined. Pretty interesting for a wine at this price point.

December 28, 2013 - One of our favorites. Deep colors and a lush smooth taste. Can't go wrong choosing this gem.

January 29, 2012 - Couleur opaque d'un vin encore jeune. Gras avec un nez exubérant la prune et les fruits noirs. La bouche est fidèle au nez. La matiere tannique est fondue. Peut certainement attendre encore quelques (1-2) années.

September 16, 2011 - Dense, dark, rich colour with a touch of browning on the edges. Lots of dark cherry with the usual characteristics of cabernet. Happy I have stored this as long as I have. Could be stored even longer, say, a year, but ready now. I give it 86.

May 5, 2009 - Yet another bottle that does not disapoint. Same dark fruit with hints of muted earth. More noticeable than the earth this time were the vegetal notes. Great QPR at $9-12.

June 28, 2008 - Crystal sales tasting. Purple with a blueish rim. Lots of wood on the nose, with simple blackberry flavours lurking behind and powdery tannins on the toungue. It would have been a decent quaffing wine, but I found it to have a rather sickly, vegetal streak running throughout that threw me off kilter.

June 17, 2008 - Decanted for 1 hour. Initial strong smell and taste of tobacco, but it blew off after 20 minutes or so. Followed by wonderful and complex flavors of cinnamon, blackberries, and coffee. The tannins bite a little at the mid-palate to keep everything focused. And the amazing thing is that this wine is drinkable now! Awesome QPR, highly recommended.

May 18, 2008 - Excellent wine. Been over a week since I had it and wrote down no notes but was pleasently surprised with this wine. Decanted for 90 minutes. Great earthy tones that you get from chilean wines.
