November 19, 2020 - A private dinner with friends (Waver, Ouder-Amstel, NL): Level base of neck, very crumbly cork. Very tertiary aromas, objectively well past best, but there was some vigour left in this old seigneur.

June 11, 2016 - After 34 years this was still a nice wine to enjoy ! Not a superlative super strong wine but it still had enough fruit and juice to carry through the night ! The nose was a very resolved old Bordeaux - leafy , earthy , truffulish just a bit of barnyard / it is a medium bodied wine with a rather thin palate but the nice savory mouth feel a smith tannins made up for that / thoroughly enjoyable and good qpr - no reason to wait , enjoy this while it's on this last leg plateau !

January 3, 2014 - Nice wine, classic bordeaux nose, medium body at most. Fully mature but a plesant surprise- I thought it might be DOA. surely past peak and not for a Zin lover, but went well with my prime rib. Drink now
