June 10, 2012 - Nice cassis, cedar and a fairly long finish. Hollow mid-palate day 1 was very noticable, but had a smooth entry and exit on day 2.

June 5, 2010 - This had pleasant cedar notes on the midpalate but was a little green, especially on the nose. Fruit is mostly gone - definitely drink if you have any left. Overall pleasant with good balance but not extraordinary.

December 2, 2007 - Had a 6 pack of this, of which this is the last btl. It is much better than those consumed 12-24 months ago. Fragrant dark red fruit and cassis on the nose. Medium full body on the palate, with all the rough edges gone. A slightly clipped finish keeps me from scoring it higher.

June 23, 2006 - Very solid wine and a great QPR. The nose smells of black fruits, herbs, and a touch of vanilla. The initial taste is a bit green and tart, but quickly blossoms into a rich, black cherry accented little number with a little leather and indonesian coffee (which is earthy - roasty - woodsy) tone to it. The finish is long, and while not hot in the mouth, leaves a warm feeling going down. Still pretty tannic (thus the 89), so this should only get better with more time and should merit a higher score once it has smoothed out further. Very nice.
